(Wednesday, June 4, 2014)
Nicholas Tyszka, the managing member of the Law Offices of T. Nicholas Tyszka, L.L.C. has been appointed as the vice-chair of the Chicago Bar Association's Real Property Law Committee. John G. O'Brien will remain the committee's chair.
Tyszka's appointment was made by incoming CBA president Daniel A. Cotter. This appointment will be effective for the 2014-2015 year, which begins on June 24.
The Real Property Law Committee is involved in all areas of real estate law and practice. Through its subcommittees, which meet at least once monthly, and the committee as a whole, which meets monthly, developments in all areas of real estate law and practice are studied, and legislative changes suggested. Members are kept advised of recent developments by regular CLE programs, committee programs, and a newsletter.
"There is a great deal of change that is coming to real estate transactions in Chicago during the next year," Tyszka said. "It is very important that lawyers in this city continue to be a part of the process and that they have a strong bar association that can provide them with all the resources they need to succeed."
Tyszka, 34, also sits on the board of directors for the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Assocition (IRELA), and serves on the board of governors for the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Chicago (CLG). He resides in the River North area of Chicago.
